Miu Asou is a Pink Eiga actress who hails from Hokkaido. She dropped out of high school due to bullying by the other students. Soon after she moved to Tokyo, in 1996, to pursue a singing career. However, she discovered a passion and a knack for acting through which she signed on with a management company in 1997. That same year she made her Pink Eiga debut in Yukio Kitazawa’s, “The Groper Teacher.” Additionally, she was awarded the coveted Best New Actress Award at the Pink Eiga Awards.

Since 2000, her acting work has focused on stage productions, having forged a collaboration with director Hiroyuki Kawasaki (Ninja Pussy Cat) and his stage company. Currently, she is a member of Shinohara Staging, after successfully establishing herself as an independent actress.
