Yumi Yoshiyuki is an actress,and director who is one of the most productive female movie director in Japanese film history. She made her Pink Eiga acting debut in 1993. In 1997 she made her mainstream debut in legendary filmmaker Akio Jissoji’s “The D-Slope Murder Case.” For her performance in this film, she won the Best Supporting Actress award at the Yokohama Film Festival. This lead to more mainstream work including even Quentin Tarantino (Kill Bill: Vol 1)! In 1996, Yumi moved behind the camera to direct her first film, “Chronic Rutting Adultery Wife,” which won the Best New Director award at the Pink Eiga Grand Prix. In 2011, she was also invited to New Horizon International Film Festival in Poland to screen two films that she directed: “Miss Peach” and “Widow Apartment.”

Yukio Kitazawa is a veteran Pink Eiga director. He got his start while he was a university student working as an assistant director on legendary film directors Koji Wakamatsu and Satoru Kobayashi’s films.

Yukio Kitazawa made his directing debut in 1978 with the Pink Eiga production, “Vagabond Sex.” For this work, he won the Best New Director Award at the Zoom Up Film Festival. Since then, he has worked in various filmmaking formats and genres including Pink Eiga, Nikkatsu Roman Porno, direct-to-video productions, as well as TV commercial. All told he has directed over 170 feature films!
In 2009, he completed an independently

produced feature film called, “AZA-ARI” (With Bruises). The film was shown to great critical praise and good public response.

Yūji Tajiri was born in a small town in Hokkaido in 1968. His main interest as a youth was watching movies, and he began writing his own film scripts and making 8mm films while a teenager.

Tajiri moved to Tokyo and he began working at the Shishi studio as an assistant director in 1990. Tajiri’s directorial debut was with the 1997 film Go Go Train.
His second film, “Office Lady Love Juice” was chosen as the Best Film of the year at the Pink Grand Prix, and Tajiri was given the Best Director award. Tajiri’s 2004 film, Twitch – You Are My Toy about erotic complications in the photography industry, won the bronze prize at the Pink Grand Prix.

The film also won awards for Best Actress, and Best cinematography.

Academy Award Winning Director Yōjirō Takita entered the film industry through Mukai Productions, where he served as an assistant director. Takita first came to prominence with the long-running, popular light-comic pink film “Groper Train” series, which Takita began directing in 1982. Takita’s 1986 mainstream comedy, “No More Comic Magazines!” received critical praise, and he has produced several popular films since then.

In 2001, he directed “Onmyoji.” It became an international hit and received a prize at The Neuchâtel International Fantastic Film Festival in 2002. He directed “Onmyoji 2” in 2003.

His 2008 film “Departures” won the Best Foreign Language Film at the U.S. 81st Academy Awards, in an upset over the Israeli Animated documentary.

Toshiki Satō was born in 1961 and graduated from Nikkatsu Arts School. His debut film was the 1989 pink film drama, The Beast.Adult Video idol Maya Asabuki starred in this film judged “light on drama, but heavy on sex scenes.”
In 1995 Satō made the two-part mainstream Fighting Dragon Story, but continued in the pink film genre after that.
“Lusty Hot Spring” (1998) and “Tokyo Booty Nights” (2007) were highly respected in Pink Eiga genre.

Takahisa Zeze (born 24 May 1960) is a Japanese film director and screenwriter best known for his soft-core pornographic pink films of the 1990s. He graduated from Kyoto University in 1986. While attending this prestigious university, Zeze began making experimental films. He began his career in the film industry working for Shishi Productions as a screenwriter and assistant director for various pink film directors. One of the most successful pink films is “Anarchy in (Ja)Panty.” After a decade of making pink films, Zeze turned to mainstream releases in 1997. In 2010, he received Award in Berlin International Film Festival in his film, “Heaven’s Story.”

Shūji Kataoka is a Japanese director and screenwriter.
He was born in Hokkaido on November 23, 1950. In the early 1980s he began to work at producer-director Kan Mukai’s Shishi Productions. At first he worked as an assistant director for Mukai and Oscar Winner Yōjirō Takita and then released his debut film as a director in 1983, Yokoku Bōkō: Yaru! Sasu!, the first of a series of action films starring Usagi Asō distributed by the Toei Company.

Since then he has made many action pink films such as “S&M HUNTER,” and has gone on to direct mainstream movies At the Pink Grand Prix for 1988 Kataoka’s Subway Serial Rape: Lover Hunting was awarded Best Film, and Kataoka was given the awards for Best Director and Best Screenplay.

Shinji Imaoka is a Japanese film director, screenwriter, and actor. He is one of a group of pink film directors of the 2000s known collectively as the “Seven Lucky Gods of Pink.”
Shinji Imaoka was born in Osaka in 1965. He attended Yokohama City University, but dropped out in 1990 in order to pursue a film career. He entered the film industry as an assistant director at pink film pioneer Satoru Kobayashi’s Shishi Productions. Imaoka’s directorial debut film was Sex Party of the Beasts: Come Together.

He has been awarded Best Director at the Pink Grand Prix, and two of his films have been voted the Best Film of the year at the ceremony. In 2000, the Tokyo Athénée Français gave Imaoka a career retrospective tribute which broke the institution’s record for attendance.

Mototsugu Watanabe is a highly revered filmmaker in the Pink Eiga world. A consummate entertainer, he was born December 2nd, 1957 in Tokyo and studied filmmaking at Nihon University. From there he entered Mukai Productions (the ‘father of Pink Eiga’, Hiroshi Mukai’s production company), where he was mentored by such Pink Eiga giants as Hiroshi Mukai, Shuji Kataoka (“S&M Hunter”) and Academy Award® Winner Yojiro Takita (“Departures”).

Watanabe made his directing debut in 1983, going on to direct over 100 films. In 2001 he established his own production company, Nabe Cinema, through which he has actively continued making Pink Eiga in every genre imaginable including, As a result, he has large fan following and is regarded as the number one cult Pink Eiga director.

Hiroyuki Kawasaki is the master of Lady Ninja Movies.
Born on June 26, 1962 in Miyazaki Prefecture. He started his career as an actor when he was a child, and he worked with Hisayasu Sato, Yutaka “Mr. Pink” Ikejima and many talented masters.

He made his movie director debut in 2003 with a soft-core erotic movie, “Muzumuzu Panty.” Soon after that, he directed “Ninja Pussy Cat,” and made it successful.
He is internationally known as a director and producer of “Lady Ninja Kasumi” series.
