Director Daisuke Goto pays homage to “The Postman Always Rings Twice,” in this somber, psychological film. Beautiful Tomiko runs a local printing press. Her husband is bedridden and impotent, and takes his frustrations out on her. Tomiko hires a young man to help her run the business, and reluctantly gets entangled in an affair.
