Tomorrow, July 14, 2009, PINK EIGA Inc. is turning 6 months old. If it were a baby, it’d be crawling, babbling and still sucking on a teet. Hrm… that actually SOUNDS like things at the PINK EIGA office, which is all abuzz because we’ve just crossed the 3,000 units sold bench mark. Holy cow!

Sure for the big DVD companies 3,000 units represents only a fraction of the number of units printed and sold to Wallmart! But for a small snot-nosed upstart like us, who have had to earn every single sales made — AND which Ayumu has hand carried and shipped out HIMSELF from the USPS — this is a pretty cool milestone!

So, from all of us here at PINK EIGA Central, THANKS SO MUCH for your patronage and for believing in what we’re doing. We’re still a long way from anyone actually being able to earn a paycheck off of this, but we’re doing something that we all believe in — and that you’ve proved matters — and that’s pretty damn cool!

Thanks and here’s to the next 3,000 sold!

Great job guys, its nice to support and see the independent self financed places grow. I encourage everyone to buy PINK EIGA DVD’s from pinkeiga.com as these are the guys that started it all.

    Keep the great titles coming!

We have some great plans for upcoming releases and we’re looking forward to doing them thanks to people like you supporting us and spreading the good word!

Ditto on Congrats’ message! Independents are a teetering breed and I’ll do what I can to support those that continue keep me entertained. I already own A Lonely Cow Weeps at Dawn and the classic S&M Hunter – Tsumugi is next on the list; and anything else you can dig up with Sora Aoi. Looking forward to a growing catalog. Keep up the excellent work!

Oh yeah ..any chance on getting one of those cool little bumper stickers!!!!? :)

Thanks! Indies are indeed struggling and if we’d been aware of the risk associated with starting up an indie DVD company we likely would’ve not bitten the bullet like this and done it. But since we didn’t know any better, we did, and now we’re excited to see people digging what we’re trying to do.

As for the cool stickers! We put them in each and every package we send out from Pink Eiga.com. However, if you’ve ordered from us but haven’t gotten one, let us know and we’ll get ya one. (We just ordered a new batch which should be here tomorrow!)

    Thanks again!

I wholeheartedly echo the sentiments of everyone else! Great to see the encouraging sales numbers, and since Pink films are among my favorite genres of cinema, looks like I’ll have a lot to look forward to in the coming months (and hopefully years!)

Keep up the great work guys, there’s definitely some of us out there that appreciate it :D

Thank you so much for your hard work, and congratulations for hitting the 3000-mark. I already bought “S&M-Hunter”, “Tsumugi” and “New Tokyo Decadence: The Slave” from you. The former two were awesome, the latter I’ve yet to see. Please continue with your great mission. I’m especially looking forward to releases of “Tokyo Booty Nights” and “The Suicide Chain”. CU.

Thanks so much for your patronage and for the congratulations!

Let us know what you think of “The Slave!” And if haven’t had a chance to see “A Lonely Cow Weeps at Dawn,” then you might like that as well. The director Daisuke Goto is a kind of master Pink filmmaker!

Upcoming releases will be announced soon….
